Turn
your CD collection into an MP3 collection. Windows
Media Player has built in ripping technology to turn your store
bought music CD into portable MP3's here how. Put
your music CD in the CD Rom Drive. Open Windows
Media Player if you do not have the latest and greatest version
of it you can download it at the link above - just select your
operating system. Once
you have opened Windows Media Player, you can select the Rip tab at
the top. It will show you CD's that are available for
ripping. You can now "Right Click" on the Rip tab
and it will pull up a little menu that will allow you to select
format and bit rate. Choose
format "MP3" and you might have to right click again to
pull up the little menu again to select bit rate. Select
128kbs for bit rate - this will give you great sound quality without
using up to much of your portable music players space. You
can start ripping you CD music into MP3s now.
